CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN
Is a document which is given when importer demands to Exporter.
It can be easily done by
www.coo.dgft.gov.in
It is of two types
1.Preferential Certificate of origin
2.Non Preferential Certificate of origin
Preferential Certificate of origin is used in FREE TRADE AGREEMENTS (FTA)
For example AUSTRALIA
In this trade both the countries are tie up for FREE TRADE AGREEMENTS to ease the trades for mutual benefits.
In such trades importer country has to pay no Customs duty OR very less duty.
Exporter is also ease of trade.
Non Preferential Certificate of origin is used in no FREE TRADE AGREEMENTS.
This certificate is given only when demands.
It also indicates from which country it is originated. Indicator of the country.
